Designed by Lagranja Design, Coral Pendant Light is a
suspension lamp with range of lights with a uniquely
shaped modular element which is reminiscent of a branch
of coral and is produced in injection molded polycarbonate.
The module repeats itself like a fractal (a geometrical
shape which is repeated throughout its structure in
different sizes) and grows following the principle of
nature – from simplicity to complexity. The lights come
in two colors with three colored branches inserted to
create a contrast. Versions: white with luminous orange
inserted branches, ivory with red inserted branches;
black grey with ivory inserted branches. The supporting
structure is in coated steel in the same colors as the
diffusers.
A perfect addition to your modern lighting collection,
with class and elegance. With its modern look and feel,
it can easily complement your existing decor. This contemporary
lighting focuses great attention on creativity and taste
of innovation, out of the ordinary, and with highest care
for details both of design and of functionality.
About the Designers
The idea for Lagranja was born on a Pacific island in the
summer of 2001. A year later, in Barcelona, Gerard
Sanmartí and Gabriele Schiavon started to develop ideas
and offer visions and solutions, based on a creative talent
that jumps effortlessly between design, architecture and
temporary installations.
At Lagranja theory goes hand in hand with practice. We
learn by doing, listening to both instinct and reason. The
only style is the attitude and energy that emanates from
a project: optimistic, full of vitality and concern for people.
Design that is never self-referential or self-satisfied, whose
objective is an idea of a project free from conceptual
obstacles: eclectic and versatile, capable of moving between
different disciplines and typologies.
.
This character has lead Lagranja to take on and work with
some of the most prestigious names in the world of design,
creating international projects both for corporate spaces
(retail) or for exhibitions and museums.
Some of the most widely recognized are the Key bicycle
rack (2007), published by Santa & Cole and the winner
of the IDEA Bronze Award (2007) and the RED DOT in
the "Best of the best" (2008) category; the Uto lamp (2005),
produced by Foscarini; the Espai Gaudí The museum about
life and works of the architect, that occupies one of the most
suggestive places of the Gaudinian architecture: the attic of
the Pedrera.
