Designed by Allvaro Siza, Falena is a low voltage table lamp
with electronic plug-type transformer and switch on the
cable for double light intensity. The body in chrome-plated
metal rotates 360° on the horizontal plane. Revolving
diffuser wings in anodized aluminum. Thick polished glass
base. A jack allows the electric connection between the
base and the body.

About the Designer
Allvaro Joaquim Melo Siza Vieira was born in Matosinhos,
near the city of Porto, in 1933. From 1949-55 Ivaro Siza
studied at the School of Architecture, at the University
of Porto.
His first building project was finished in 1954. From 1955
to 1958 he was co-designer of the Architect Fernando Tvora.
He taught at the School of Architecture from 1966-1969 and
was appointed Professor of "Construction" in 1976.
He has made several projects in Portugal and the rest of Europe.
His works have been exhibited in the main cities of the
world. He has recently been awarded with the prize Pritzker
and the prize Mies van der Rohe.
