Designed by Enrico Franzolini and Vicente Garcia Jimenez,
Glow Floor Lamp was the aesthetic expression of light
splintering off titanium walls. Its inspiration stems from
the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao. It is a modern architectural
floor lamp available in lacquered red semi-gloss aluminum,
matte transparent lacquered satin-finished, and burnished
brass, lacquered white semi-gloss aluminum, and gloss
transparent natural lacquered satin-finish aluminum. Base
and stem are in high gloss chromium steel (for white shade)
or varnished anthracite (for aluminum, red or brass shade).

About the Designers
Enrico Franzolini was born in Udine in 1952. He studied
in Florence and graduated in Architecture at the University
of Venice. In 1972 he was invited to the 36th Biennale
Exhibition of decorative arts in Venice, exhibiting two
objects produced by the Livio Seguso glass-manufactory
in Murano.
In 1978 his first personal exhibition at Plurima Gallery in
Udine marked the beginning of his interest in purist
architecture. At the same time however he became interested
in architecture and interior and product design. In the 80’s
and 90’s some of his projects in architecture and industrial
design were published by specialized magazines such as Domus,
Modo, Abitare, Interni. In 1993 his project for a private
house received honoured mentions and won the Piranesi Prize.
He has worked with several of most important furniture
companies such as Accademia, Alias, Cappellini, Crassevig,
Foscarini, Gervasoni, Knoll International, Montina, Moroso
and Pallucco.
In 1991 he won the first prize in the Top Ten competition
at Promosedia Intenational Fair in Udine. In 1993 his Light
Box Collection was exhibited first in Udine at Plurima
Gallery, then it was presented by Cappellini in 1994 at the
Salone del Mobile in Milan.
In 1999 he received an honourable mention for the chair "Asia",
designed for Crassevig, at the Triennale Compasso d’Oro Prize
in Milan.
He also worked on conceptual planning for several exhibitions
that took place in the S. Francesco Church Museum in Udine:
the "Mosaico" exhibition in 1997, "Le arti a Udine in '900" and
"L'antico a nuovo" exposition in 2001. Recently he worked for
the recent permanent Museum Morpurgo in Udine.
Vicente Garcia Jimenez was born in Valencia (Spain) in
1978. He graduated at the University of Experimental
Sciences at Castellonde La Plana. His major was Industrial
Design Engineering. He later moved to Barcelona where he
worked for Santa & Cole developing lighting. His perception
of the world around him using light, shadows, textures and
colors to create new atmospheres.
A strong need to progress made him move to Milan, where
through brief experiences, fate brought him to Udine. There,
he was elected to create a new line of lamps for Karboxx.
At 2005, he was hired as Art Director at the Spanish company
Fambuena. Presently, Vicente lives and works at Udine where
is working on lighting, furniture and exhibitions, collaborating
with companies like Cesar Cucine, Fambuena, Foscarini,
Karboxx, Mido, Pallucco Italia, Sinetica Industries and Tacchini.
