The EcoSmart Igloo Glass Fireplace is designed with a futuristic appeal to enhance any contemporary décor. It’s distinctive and original, featuring a toughened glass surround that conveys a ‘disappearing’ effect. A stainless steel bench is suspended between the glass surround, and this unique form allows the flame to ‘dance’ in many directions off the reflective glass panels, generating ambience and warmth and ensuring a stunning centrepiece.
Created as a portable work of art, the Igloo’s fireplace's sleek, minimalist lines add an element of chic to residential units, apartments, houses, and commercial premises including offices, bars and restaurants.
Fueled by denatured ethanol - an environmentally friendly, renewable energy - the Igloo, like the rest of the Designer Range, is clean and green fireplace.
About the Desginer
International industrial designer and design consultant Marc Philipp Veenendaal is renowned for his technical design brilliance. During his career, he has been involved with over 600 design projects ranging from furniture, lighting and homewares to consumer electronics and recreational equipment.
In 2006, EcoSmart Fire approached Marc with regards to a possible collaboration, given his extensive experience and love of stainless steel, a material that is central to EcoSmart Fireplaces but is difficult to use given the way it expands & retracts with heat.
Marc has since commercialised many of the unique EcoSmart Fire Designer Fireplaces including the Vision, Fire & Ice Coffee Table, Retro and Fusion.
